GG 2012

Awards season is here again and I'm so excited. I get to mull about dresses,
and accessories, approve and disapprove, dress them up in my head and all. The
just concluded 69th annual Golden Globe for 2012 left a lot on my plate, my
mind is still in disarray but let's see if can assemble my thoughts and dish on
my observation so far.

Angelina Jolie literally took my breathe away in this dress by Atelier Versace.
Three words for this dress; Elegant, Stylish and Poise. She accessorize with
Brad Pitt who in turn accessorize with a walking cane! Lmao!

Paula Patton looks like sunshine in this bright yellow gown by Monique Lhuillier.
She looks gorgeous and breathe-taking. She accessorize this look with Kwiat
diamond earrings.

Kelly Osbourne looks 'Okay' although it baffles me why anyone would rock a
granny look when you are still young and hot! Maybe she is just living out a fantasy.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in a cobalt and white ruffled gown by Monique Lhuiller.
Ermmmm, too much is going on here, the ruffles at the middle, the color splash. I guess this is what you get when you ask your 2 year old daughter to pick the gown for GG.

Sofia Vergara in custom Vera wang design. I just want to say one thing, with a
body likes hers you can't go wrong in any dress, any dress at all! If anyone could pull a dress like that it would be Sofia.
Ariel Winter, the modern family actress looks amazing in a ruffled Purple Dolce
and Gabbana cocktail dress. Its great to see Ariel looking all girly in contrast to
her bookish look on screen. The black bow pumps completed the look
perfectly. Did mention that she is just 13! WOW!

Katharine McPhee nailed it with a palette of nude. Imagine yourself wearing nude from head-to-toe and still look amazing. The dress is by Donna Karan. I have just two words; Simple and Elegnant.

Jessica Chastain in high neck white Givenchy gown. She sparkles here thanks to Harry Winston jewelry, pearl and diamond earrings, a diamond feather ring and a vintage diamond bracelet! *sighs* What more can a girl ask for.

Nicole Richie in Slinky Sliver beaded Julien MacDonald gown. She looked Classy and simple, and those gorgeous bangles gave it a nice touch.

Sarah Paulson in a blush-hued-off-shoulder Pamela Rolland evening gown. There is something off about this look, it looks flappy. An off -shoulder gown is some-what difficult to pull off, you need to have that confident pose, but she looks relaxed...ermmm not good. This hue of blush does not go well with her skin and hair color.

Freida pinto in peacock blue strapless silk cloque gown by Prada. She is effortlessly beautiful, like a princess waiting for her prince.

Iconic Ladies in black

Iconic Ladies of all times have been known to pull off the color black. They carry themselves gracefully, with such elegance and poise. I have gathered a few pictures of them and i am amazed at how gorgeous they look. Some of these pictures are old and were taken way back but yet they exhibit such awe and character that cannot be mistaken. Audrey Hepburn is one classy lady that would never be forgotten in the history of fashion. This British  actress is a fashion icon that took black to another level, she would forever remain in our hearts.

Coco Chanel.....sighs, just the name alone takes my breathe away. She is one of the biggest name in the history of fashion. She would forever live on in our world in so many ways. When i look at her pictures, i see a lady who isn't afraid to be a trend setter, in these pictures  i see a lady who is strong, relevant, unafraid, her demure charm can't be ignored.
Others include Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Obama, Genevieve Nnaji and Princess Diana have also given another meaning to black dresses. These are women who would forever be remember for their impact to the society and also for being "iconic ladies in black."
